West Brom have proved that they are fighters this season with a fantastic attitude – they beat Sunderland in great style yesterday at the Hawthorns.
Jonas Olsson scored the home team’s first five minutes before half time before Chris Brunt scored in the 58th minute to become the Baggies top goal scorer, who is now on 7.
Substitute Juan Carlo Menseguez then rounded up a brilliant day for the Baggies, scoring a good goal in the 88th minute to compound the Black Cats misery.
Sunderland were poor and lacked confidence in front of goal. Sbragia said that they lacked fight which will have been quite alarming for him considering the fact that they are in 15th position, dangerously close to the relegation zone. The play in form Everton at home next at the Stadium of Light which really is a must win for them.
For WBA, this victory ended a miserable 11-game winless league run and puts them on 28 points, 2 behind the Magpies....too much too late? We shall see.
