3 players for MU what do you think?

The winter transfer window is still more than ten weeks away, the rumor mill is already in overdrive.
Even though Manchester United are not usually associated with big-name January signings, reports indicate that there may perhaps a change of tide this winter.
With a shaky start to the season, Sir Alex Ferguson is apparently keen on bringing in a new face during the month-loan transfer window.
Thus, here are the three names that have been linked with a move to the Red Devils over the past few days.
1.  Kevin Strootman
Well perhaps the most likely player to join Manchester United if the club actually spends during the winter, Kevin Strootman is a 22-year-old defensive midfielder and a Netherlands international.
The youngster is set to leave his club, PSV, during January and many reports indicate the Old Trafford will be Strootman’s most likely destination.
Strootman could be a great signing for United as he will bring in the much-needed stability and organization the team’s midfield. He can form the important link between the midfield and the attack and his creative attributes could be of massive help to the attackers.
2. Victor Wanyama
Victor Wanyama plays club football for Celtic and was linked with a move to Manchester City during the summer transfer window.
Like Strootman, Wanyama is a robust defensive-minded midfielder, capable of adding massive steel and prowess the club’s midfield.
However, any deal is unlikely to materialize as the player has stated in the past that he has no intention of leaving Scotland in the near future.
3. Ryan Shawcross
According to Sky Sports, Alex Ferguson is interested in re-signing centre-back Ryan Shawcross, who left the Red Devils four years ago.
Via Sky Sports:
“Manchester United are interested in re-signing centre-back Ryan Shawcross, but will face competition from Chelsea and Tottenham. The 25-year-old began his career at Old Trafford before making the permanent switch to Stoke in 2008.”
Since his moved to the Potters, Shawcross has evolved into one of the most underrated centre-backs in Europe. The former England U-21 star is a no-nonsense player who can shut down any attack in a matter of seconds and will act as an able replacement for the ageing Nemanja Vidic.
Even though Shawcross won’t come cheap and the player himself might be reluctant to leave his current club, Fergie should surely leave no stone unturned to bring back one of his old boys, who could play a massive role for the team during the latter parts of the campaign.
