The next FIFA World Cup remains more than a year away and, for the moment, qualification is the biggest story in international football.
Even so, it’s never too early to start making predictions. So then, which nation will win the 2014 FIFA World Cup?
The hosts seem like a decent place to start. Brazil have won five World Cups—more than any other nation—but the last title came in 2002.
Only the football-crazed country of Brazil would consider that an unacceptable title drought, but anything less than another World Cup will be considered a disappointment for the Sambas in 2014.
