Richard Lagow announced through his twitter account about a half hour ago that he intends to sign with UConn. He made it official as UConn received his national letter of intent in mid afternoon.
Lagow, a 6-foot-6 quarterback from Plano, Tex., was one of the more high profile members of UConn's recruiting class especially after he earned MVP honors at a combine over the summer. However he began to do some soul searching as national signing day approached. When UConn got commitments from not only Xavier's Tim Boyle but also Kivon Taylor from Atlanta and Lagow did not sign, there was a realistic possibility that Lagow could head elsewhere. He ended that speculation with this post on twitter
"After much conversation with my family, friends, and coaches. I have decided to stick with my commitment to THE University of Connecticut."
