Spain has won Italy in a dramatic semi-final with a dramatic penalty shoot-out 7 - 6 after 120 minutes of extreme Football which ended in a 0 - 0 draw. Both sides took themselves & their rival to the limit & almost to complete exhaustion as the heat & humidity took its toll. The penalty shoot-out is a lottery &,  the nerves of steel plus some luck are more a factor than Football in itself.

The Spanish U-21 Football National Team has won a place in the Final of the UEFA U-21 European Championships being held in Israel win a 3 - 0 victory over Norway in the semi-final. The reigning Euro Champs deserved the win as they were far the superior side although Norway did create opportunities that they could not materialize.

Atletico de Madrid drew tonight 2 - 2 with Sevilla FC in the second semi-final of the Spanish Cup ( Copa del Rey ) 2º leg clash & will meet Real Madrid in the Final in May.
