Manchester United Transfer News: Sao Paulo Once Again Deny Lucas Moura Rumor

This is getting ridiculous.
Lucas Moura is coming to Manchester United, then he's not. Then he's coming to Manchester United, then he's not. Yesterday's Daily Mail had him coming to Manchester United...
And today's he's not.
Reports have emerged that Manchester United have not agreed on a fee with the player or the club, Lucas has not had his medical at Old Trafford and the Red Devils aren't close to a deal with Lucas at all—contrary to what was reported yesterday in the English media.
But today, unlike yesterday, actually comes from a decent source—the Brazilian Football Federation—who have denied suggestions that the Sao Paulo teenager has left the club in order to sign with Manchester United. Per Goal:
The Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) have denied reports that they have given permission for midfielder Lucas Moura to leave the Brazil Olympic camp for a medical with Manchester United.
The Mail on Sunday today claimed that Sir Alex Ferguson had remained in England while his squad traveled to Norway for a pre-season friendly so that he could tie up a deal for the 19-year-old.

However, despite suggestions that the Red Devils are closing in on a £30m move for the Brazilian, the CBF have insisted they have not released the player in an official statement.
"Unlike the Daily Mail report published in this Sunday's edition, with the title 'United to splash £50m on Brazil's Moura and RVP', it is not true that the player Lucas is undergoing medical exams this Sunday at Manchester. The Selecao directors haven't received any requests from the English club regarding this matter. And even if it does, it will not allow him to leave the Brazil camp to do so."
As mentioned, reports emerged in the Daily Mail yesterday that United had agreed on a £30 million deal with the talented teenager and that the player would definitely be coming to Old Trafford over the summer transfer window.
But that just isn't the case.
No deal has been made for Lucas, and whilst the Red Devils may still sign the 19-year-old over the transfer window, they haven't done so as of yet.
The player himself has already stated that no deal will be completed until after the 2012 London Olympics—regardless of whether he chooses to remain at his current club or make a move to the English Premier League (via Goal).
So let's all calm down a minute because no deal has been made between Manchester United and Lucas, or Manchester United and Sao Paulo. We'll know soon enough when the information comes through but for now, maybe let's try and end this vicious cycle of transfer-merry-go-round.
It's starting to make me dizzy.

What's going on with Lucas Moura and Manchester United?
