Manchester United Transfer Rumors: Rob Van Persie Would Bring League Title

Robin van Persie will not be able to turn down Manchester United and the possibility of bringing the club its 20th Premier League title to Old Trafford.
Manchester United’s acquisition of van Persie would be huge. Team manager Sir Alex Ferguson is hoping to snag van Persie from Aresenal with the allure of United’s world-renowned reputation, impressive fan support—oh, and a £20 million contract.
Can’t forget that little detail.
According to Bob Cass from the Daily Mail online, United has already sealed a £30 million deal with Brazilian midfielder Lucas Moura. With Ferguson’s £50 million spending budget, he hopes to lock in van Persie within the week and start solidifying the roster.
Imagine van Persie leaving Arsenal after eight years and joining a Premier League rival team. This could get interesting.
The Dutch striker is one of Arsenal’s best players and their team captain in 2011. He is perhaps Arsenal’s most valuable player, demonstrating incredible strength and strategy on the field.
Van Persie would be joining Manchester United with a very capable resume. During his career with Arsenal, he has provided consistent and powerful attack as a striker. He's racked up 96 goals and has been recognized several times as a top player in the Premier League.
Van Persie has the ability to set up goal-making opportunities and score plenty of goals himself. Last season he scored 30 goals alone for Arsenal. Van Persie was the pulse of the team. Even with his injury, he scored a record number of goals in consecutive away matches and was in the running for the Golden Boot (via arsenal.com). Van Persie would be an invaluable asset to United and Ferguson knows it.

The 29-year-old striker is at the height of his career and has been one of Arsenal’s greatest weapons on the pitch. But while playing with the club since 2004, van Persie finds himself one Premier League title too short. Manchester United leads the league with 19 titles and 15 appearances as runners-up.
United’s winning reputation and addition of other talented players like Lucas Moura will hopefully lure van Persie to Old Trafford. If anything, van Persie will want to add a Premier League title to his already outstanding resume. And should United sign the powerful striker, they can be sure that van Persie will bring the title home.
Van Persie will have a lot riding on this transfer. With his sights set on the Premier League title, he will want to prove his worth to his new club, as well as to the entire league. And perhaps he will want to show off his title win to his former Arsenal.
With van Persie on the front line along with Shinji Kagawa and Lucas Moura, Manchester United should have no problem this year reclaiming the Premier League title from Manchester City
